Bryant On The Passing Of Civil Rights Pioneer Coretta Scott King

TRENTON – Senator Wayne R. Bryant, D-Camden and Gloucester, released the following statement today regarding the passing of civil rights pioneer Coretta Scott King, widow of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:

“Mrs. King was a beautiful example of someone who truly believed in the phrase ‘liberty and justice for all.’ She sacrificed so much to help make this country a better, more equal and tolerant place for her children and for all of us. She marched side by side with her husband on the front lines in places like Montgomery, Alabama and Washington, DC, to help call attention to the need for racial justice and parity, and for that, I will be forever indebted to them. My deepest condolences go out to her children and their families.”
