Cunningham Tells Disney/Abc To Restore Wabc-Tv Signal For Cablevision Customers Immediately, Requests That Both Parties Submit To Binding Arbitration To End Dispute

Senator Sandra Cunningham listens to testimony during the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing.

JERSEY CITY – State Senator Sandra Cunningham, the Senate’s Majority Whip and Vice Chair of the Senate Economic Growth Committee has issued the following statement calling on Disney/ABC to restore WABC-TV programming for all Cablevision customers in New Jersey, and urging both parties to submit to binding arbitration immediately:

“I am disappointed that Disney/ABC pulled the signal, depriving Cablevision’s customers in New Jersey this programming, including the Oscars, which is airing tonight on WABC-TV. It is time to put consumers first, and therefore I am calling on Disney/ABC and Cablevision to immediately agree to binding arbitration to resolve this matter. While the process of binding arbitration is pursued, it is paramount that the signal is restored without delay.”
