Senator Madden Voices Support For Citizens’ Convention On Property Tax Reform

TRENTON – Senator Fred H. Madden today issued the following statement, renewing his call to action on the most important issue facing New Jersey residents, the need for a citizens’ convention to address the issue of property tax reform, following a New Jersey League of Municipalities new conference on the issue:

“Every day my legislative offices receive calls from 4th District residents who are struggling to pay bills and keep their homes, in the face of increasing property tax bills. I applaud groups like the League of Municipalities for working to keep this issue alive. I, like all New Jersey taxpayers, look forward to the day when property taxes move off the list of top concerns and onto the list of problems solved. The time for debate is over – the time for action is now.
