CINNAMINSON, NJ – In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with the American Cancer Society to assist with their Relay For Life event at Cinnaminson High School. The event will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Senator Singleton and a team of volunteers will help by assisting with the set-up of the event and helping to sign-in participants. Anyone interested in joining the Senator can sign-up on the Senator’s website: http://www.senatorsingleton.com/american_cancer_society_s_relay_for_life

“With September being National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, it is an honor to partner with the American Cancer Society for their Relay For Life event in Cinnaminson,” said Singleton, who represents the town as part of the 7th Legislative District. “Unfortunately, each and every one of us has a family member or a friend who has been impacted by this disease. This is one small way we can let those who are currently battling cancer, and those that have battled it in the past, know that we support them.”

This will be Senator Singleton’s 9th “Serve with Singleton” event since becoming a State Senator in January of 2018. Previous efforts included: renovation of the Habitat For Humanity Re-Store, a clean-up day at Jacob’s Chapel Ministry Center, painting two Community Options homes, a clean-up day at Strawbridge Lake, a spring cleaning at Providence House, a clothing drive for UIH Family Partners, lunch duty at Beverly United Methodist Church’s summer lunch program, and a back-to-school supply drive in partnership with Tabernacle Baptist Church.

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Their mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight to a world without cancer. For years, they have been the front-runners in the community’s fight to eliminate cancer and raise awareness.
