SWEENEY ON CHRISTIE TOWN HALL: GOV SHOULD SAY, TODAY, THAT HE IS SIGNING ‘SANDY BILL OF RIGHTS’

Senate President Steve Sweeney

Senate President Steve Sweeney issued the following statement today regarding Governor Christie’s town hall meeting in Brick:

“The governor would best serve his town hall audience and the victims of Sandy by announcing that he is signing the ‘Sandy Bill of Rights.’ The recovery process has been riddled with problems, not the least of which has been the inability of people to get answers to even basic questions.

“What people don’t want to hear today is excuses or trying to blame someone else. They want answers and they want solutions. That is why the governor should say – today – that he is signing the ‘Sandy Bill of Rights.’ It is long past time people get the answers, information and aid they deserve.”
