TRENTON – A Senate resolution sponsored by Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland) and Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) congratulating the State of Israel on its 65th anniversary of independence has cleared the Senate State Government, Wagering, Tourism and Historic Preservation Committee.
“The United States has no greater ally than the State of Israel, a friendship that has only grown stronger in the last sixty-five years,” said Sweeney. “New Jersey has played a significant role in that friendship and we are honored to recognize our friend and partner’s anniversary of independence.”
