TRENTON- On February 4, 2016, the Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee, chaired by Senator Joseph Vitale, held a hearing to receive testimony from invited guests on the opioid abuse epidemic that has become a public health crisis in New Jersey. The hearing served to provide a status update on the fight against opioid abuse in the state and to consider next steps to renew, improve, and initiate new efforts during this legislative session.
