TRENTON – At a press conference in front of the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst with members of the Defense Enhancement Coalition, and local and State elected officials, Senate President Steve Sweeney underlined the importance of funding efforts to prevent any military base closure in New Jersey. Democrats have added $200,000 to the Governor’s budget for the year 2015 in order to help protect military bases across New Jersey from closure by the US Department of Defense.
