Trenton – Senate President Steve Sweeney issued the following statement on the passing of Sgt. Matthew D. Joskowitz, a 24-year-old paratrooper from Hackensack serving at Fort Bragg in North Carolina:
“I extend my deepest condolences to Sgt. Joskowitz’s family, friends and loved ones. This young man exemplified the very best in American tradition and values and the loss of such a bright and promising life is a true tragedy. Sgt. Joskowitz’s passing is felt by his fellow paratroopers, the men and women in the armed services, his community in Hackensack and all of New Jersey.”
