Baer Receives New Paemaker

ENGLEWOOD – Senator Byron M. Baer is scheduled to be released on Wednesday from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center after receiving a new pacemaker on Monday.

“He (Senator Baer) is feeling great,” said Linda Baer, the wife of the Bergen County Democrat.

Senator Baer’s two-year old pacemaker was replaced by Dr. Grant Simons, the hospital announced today.

Ms. Baer said the Senator would continue his recovery at home before returning to his legislative office shortly.

June B. Montag, Senator Baer’s Chief of Staff, said she knows he’ll be working from home on legislative matters.

“He (Senator Baer) never stops working on legislative business,” Ms. Montag said. “He’ll be working the phone as soon as he gets home – or even before that if they let him (at the hospital).”
