TRENTON – Senator Richard J. Codey, D-Essex, issued the following statement today upon learning that Senator Frank Lautenberg has been diagnosed with a curable form of stomach cancer:
“In the many years I’ve known Frank Lautenberg, I’ve known him to be a fighter first and foremost, willing to take on every challenge that comes his way. I have no doubt that Senator Lautenberg will bring the same never-quit attitude to his recovery. If anyone can bounce back and make a full and complete recovery from this latest setback, Frank Lautenberg can.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to Senator Lautenberg and his family for a speedy recovery.”
