TRENTON – Senator Joseph Coniglio, D- Bergen, made the following statement after Governor Codey’s Budget Address:
“Governor Codey has finally done today what others have failed to do – taken action to address our fiscal crisis.
“For decades, Governors and Legislatures have failed to live within the means of the State. This budget shows a commitment to making sure that the dollars we spend come not from one-time gimmicks, but recurring sources.
“As a member of the Budget Committee, I look forward to working with Governor Codey and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass this budget and take the first steps towards putting New Jersey on a solid financial footing.”
