Coniglio Statement On The Corzine Proposed Budget

TRENTON – Senator Joseph Coniglio, D-Bergen and a member of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, made the following statement in response to Governor Corzine’s Budget Address:

“As the Legislature is handed Governor Corzine’s budget proposal, it is clear that we have a lot of work ahead of us in creating a final budget.

“I am encouraged to see that this budget proposal includes a commitment to creating a preferred drug list for state-run health care programs. As a long-time proponent of a State PDL, I am glad to see that New Jersey will embrace this cost-saving policy. The $37 million that we will save in FY07 will only be the beginning of the benefits of this program for the State and its residents.”
