TRENTON – Senator Nilsa Cruz-Perez (D-Camden/Gloucester) today issued the following statement on the Supreme Court ruling not to immediately hear the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program case:
“It is heartening to see the Supreme Court is following the rule of law and not giving into Attorney General Sessions’ unprecedented request for them to skip over long established legal procedure. Our Dreamers remain protected, not because of Trump, but despite Trump. We need to continue this fight so the Dreamers and all other worthy immigrants can find a safe home here on our shores. ”
