Sarlo Hails Codey’s References To Meadowlands, School Security

TRENTON – Senator Paul A. Sarlo today praised Governor Codey’s references to a “new vision” for the Meadowlands and to the school security proposals in his State of the State Address to the Legislature.

“I am confident that Governor Codey’s reference to a ‘new vision for the Meadowlands’ is a clear signal that the people and businesses of the entire Meadowlands region will finally realize the economic benefits they’ve been hoping for all these years,” said Senator Sarlo, D-Bergen, Essex and Passaic.

In addition, Senator Sarlo said Governor Codey’s proposal on school security touches all families whether they live in the cities or the suburbs.

“Parents and all family members know there is nothing more important than the safety of our children,” said Senator Sarlo. “Children see the horrors of terror on their televisions, but they shouldn’t have to live in fear. That’s why the presence of State Police and the assurance that there are school safety plans in place will help kids focus on learning instead of on fear.”
