Senate President Sweeney Releases Disaster Recovery Information For Residents Affected By Storm

Important Resource Guide for Residents

TRENTON – Senate President Steve Sweeney today released information to help direct residents affected by the storm to assistance and resources available through the state and federal government as well as to emergency personnel who are helping with recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

“As New Jersey residents begin the process of recovery, it is important they have all the resources available to them to assist in this effort,” said Sweeney. “This resource guide will help provide access to assistance available through the state and federal government as well as to utility companies and emergency officials who are working to respond to the needs of residents across the state. It will also provide volunteer information to the many New Jerseyans who have expressed concern for their neighbors and are seeking ways to help.”

The Senator is urging residents to distribute the guide to friends, family members and those in their communities who have been affected by the storm and may not have direct access to these critical resources.
