Senator Adler Renamed Chair Of Senate Judiciary Committee

Senator John Adler, D-Cherry Hill, the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, reads the list of nominees on the Senate floor.

TRENTON – Today, Senate President Richard J. Codey announced that Senator John H. Adler will once again serve as the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I thank Senate President Codey for once again giving me the opportunity to lead the Judiciary Committee,” said Senator Adler. “In the coming term, we will continue to review in depth the Governor’s nominations and act appropriately to have the most effective state government possible. I also expect that the Committee will also play a key role in the ongoing efforts to bring comprehensive ethics reform to New Jersey.”

Senator John A. Girgenti will continue to serve as the Committee’s Vice Chair. Joining Senators Adler and Girgenti on the Committee for the 2008-2009 term are Senators Nia H. Gill, Paul A. Sarlo, Nicholas P. Scutari, Bob Smith and Raymond J. Lesniak.
