TRENTON – Senator Wayne R. Bryant, D-Camden and Gloucester, today released the following statement regarding Governor Jon Corzine’s Fiscal Year 2008 budget address:
“The plan outlined today looks to be a very good budget – especially in tough fiscal times like these. This proposed budget provides the maximum amount of property tax relief, while increasing the amount of funding going to local municipalities and Boards of Education. What really stands out to me though is that this proposed budget would allow increased resources to help ease the financial burden on working families and needy kids – regardless of where they live.
“I look forward to working with the Governor, the Assembly and with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make sure that this budget is fair and balanced.”
