Announces Legislative Oversight Hearing on Insurance Coverage Disparities

 

TRENTON – Responding to the need for greater access to mental health treatment, Senate Legislative Oversight Committee Chairman Bob Gordon announced a legislative effort to address the barriers to mental health care faced by New Jersey residents. The Senator will convene a hearing of the committee to bring together lawmakers and stakeholders to examine the disparity in insurance coverage for mental health care and its effect on patients, the ability of professionals to provide adequate treatment and the effectiveness of the state’s overall mental health care delivery system.

 

The hearing will be held July 18th at 1pm in the Statehouse.
