Senator Madden Reacts To The 2006 State Of The State Address

TRENTON – Senator Fred H. Madden, D-Camden and Gloucester, released the following statement today regarding Governor Codey’s 2006 State of the State address:

“The past 14 months have been a perfect example of all that can be accomplished when a committed Governor and legislative body are able to work together to accomplish their goals.

“Since his very first day in office, Governor Codey fought to help to give a voice to the thousands of New Jerseyans living with mental illness, and for that, I applaud him.

“This session, I was able to sponsor and see signed into law a number of measures aimed at helping to make New Jersey a safer and healthier place for its residents.

“In this, the 212th Legislative session, I would like to continue to focus on hearing the viewpoints of the people of New Jersey through working together to address the State’s property tax dilemma.”
