Concert goers will be asked to donate canned goods for South Jersey Food Bank
COLLINGSWOOD – Senator Dana L. Redd is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Holiday Benefit Concert featuring Camden natives and Stellar Award winning group Tye Tribbett and Greater Anointing, on Tuesday, November 25 at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood. Doors will open at 6 PM, and the concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM. Senator Redd is co-sponsoring the event in conjunction with Tye Tribbett Ministries and the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
“I’m looking forward to a wonderful concert, featuring this hometown group,” said Senator Redd, D-Camden and Gloucester. “It’s no secret that our economy is in rough shape, and our local food pantries are experiencing severe shortages, but that is no excuse for needy families to have empty tables this Thanksgiving. The goal of this concert will be to introduce our young people to civic and community based giving, while showing them that no good deed goes unnoticed or unappreciated.”
General admission for this event will be free and open to the public with a donation of a traditional Thanksgiving Day food item, including canned goods and turkey trimmings. Donations will be taken at all ticket locations. All donations will be given to the South Jersey Food Bank, which serves Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
