11 Jan: Madden Bill To Create ‘New Jersey Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force’ Gets Final Legislative Approval From The Senate

TRENTON – A measure sponsored by Senator Fred H. Madden which would establish the “New Jersey Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force” was unanimously approved today by the full Senate.

“Screening and early detection are key in the fight against kidney disease,” said Senator Madden, D-Camden and Gloucester. “As we work to make New Jersey a healthier place, it is important that residents are aware of preventative measures as well as the necessary steps to take if diagnosed with kidney disease. This task force would help to create a plan to increase public education and awareness about the benefits of early, cost-effective kidney screening, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic kidney disease.”
