09 Sep: Coniglio High School Community Service Program Becomes Law

TRENTON – Legislation sponsored by Senator Joseph Coniglio, which creates a pilot program that requires high school juniors to complete 15 hours of community service, became law today.

“Sometimes the best lessons learned are life lessons that are not taught in a classroom,” said Senator Coniglio, D-Bergen. “Community service is a way for our young residents to involve themselves in a variety of enriching, useful and practical experiences which serve the neighborhood. I hope that this program will make the young people of New Jersey want to continue their involvement in their communities for the rest of their lives.”
