19 Sep: Van Drew Measure Expressing Support For Veteran-Owned Businesses Clears Committee

TRENTON – Legislation sponsored by Senator Jeff Van Drew that expresses the state Senate’s support for businesses owned by New Jersey military veterans, and calls on the public to support veteran-owned businesses, was unanimously approved today by the Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.

“Our military personnel make tremendous sacrifices to serve our country and protect our freedom,” said Senator Van Drew (D-Cape May/Cumberland/Atlantic). “When they return home, it is not only our duty to thank them for their courageous efforts, but also to support them as they adjust to civilian life. With this measure, we are sending a clear message that the state supports our veterans’ entrepreneurial efforts, and we are asking our residents to do the same.”
