Trenton – Senator Shirley Turner issued the following statement in support of Senate President Steve Sweeney’s proposal for a phased-in ban on the sale of all electronic smoking devices:
“I am glad the Senate President sees the value in my proposal to ban flavored vaping products and is willing to take it a step further. The health impact of vaping is largely unknown and the market is dangerously unregulated. The rapid increase in popularity among middle and high schoolers is deeply troubling, especially given their lack of understanding as to what it is they are putting into their bodies. To protect the health of the people of New Jersey and especially the health of our teenagers we must take action.”
