Senate Democrats fought for funding priorities in the FY18 budget and ultimately secured $350 million for expanded educational opportunity and a range of services for New Jersey residents, including for the most vulnerable in the state. Among the funding items was a $5 million increase for the Educational Opportunity Fund program, bringing the allocation to $43.8 million.
