TRENTON – On September 30, 2014, Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, Senator Jennifer Beck, and a bi-partisan group of women legislators held a press conference at the Meadowlands Sports Complex to address the issue of domestic violence in the NFL. They called for the end of the tax-exemption status for the NFL and for the generated tax revenues to be dedicated to domestic violence prevention programs. They also called for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s to take responsibility and resign for his lack of leadership on this issue.
