Rice, Pou Condemn Jersey City Shootings

Trenton – Legislative Black Caucus Chair Senator Ronald L. Rice (D-Essex) and Legislative Latino Caucus Chair Senator Nellie Pou (D-Bergen/Passaic) issued the following statement on the attack in Jersey City this past week that shook the entire state of New Jersey:

“On behalf of both the Legislative Black Caucus and the Legislative Latino Caucus, we unequivocally condemn the attack that occurred in Jersey City this week, which looks to have targeted Jewish children and residents in the Greenville section of the city. As the information developed over the past few days, it has been a terrifying, devastating and emotionally exhausting time for the entire state.

“New Jersey is one of the most diverse states in the country, and anti-Semitism, racism, hate and bigotry have no place within our borders. We must now come together to heal and learn from this tragic event in hopes of preventing a tragedy like this in the future.”
