SENATOR BEACH: REMEMBERING THOSE WHO SERVED OUR COUNTRY THIS VETERANS’ DAY

World War II Veteran and former private in Easy Company, Edward "Babe" Heffron, addresses the State Senate while Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman, Senator Jim Beach, D-Camden, looks on. Heffron and his platoon were the subject of the book and 10-part HBO miniseries, Band of Brothers.

TRENTON – In honor of the upcoming Veterans’ Day, Senator Jim Beach, Chairman of the Senate Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, issued the following statement:

“This Veterans’ Day, we honor the men and women of our armed forces who have risked their lives in defense of our freedom and national security. We owe them not only gratitude for their heroism, but also a commitment to provide the services they need, whether they are World War II veterans relying on a VA hospital or college-age soldiers looking to transition into the workforce.”
