SENATOR BEACH STATEMENT ON VETERANS DAY

Senator Beach

TRENTON – Chairman of the Senate Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Senator Jim Beach (D-Camden), issued the following statement in honor of Veterans Day, which is this Saturday.

“Words can’t express the great pride and honor I feel as the chair of the Military and Veterans Affairs’ Committee for the New Jersey State Senate. Veterans Day is a special day to honor the men and women who have sacrificed so much in order to give us the freedom that is often taken for granted.

“We owe our way of life, our safety, and our freedoms to the bravery and dedication of our nation’s veterans.  But our gratitude must not be confined to this one day.

“I express my continued commitment of making Veteran’s care a top priority and to ensuring key legislation that provides veterans with the resources they need to provide the quality of life they deserve. Things like affordable housing, health care, and job training are key issues that I will work to address as we move forward.

“On this Veterans Day, it is the least we can do to say thank you for the courage they have shown for decades.”
