MOORESTOWN – In honor of Mother’s Day this month, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities to host a spring cleaning event at their Burlington County counseling center located at 595 Rancocas Road in Westampton. The “Serve with Singleton” event will take place on Saturday, May 5, at 12:30 p.m.

The Senator and volunteers will partake in both indoor and outdoor tasks such as raking, mulching, cleaning flower beds, planting flowers, washing cars and cleaning the office space. Space is limited but anyone interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: http://www.senatorsingleton.com/providence_house

“Each May, we dedicate time to honor and appreciate our mothers, grandmothers, aunts and other women in our lives who have been motherly figures,” said Senator Singleton, who represents part of Burlington County in the 7th Legislative District. “We ask that you consider serving with us as we help an incredible organization like Providence House, which protects and serves mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence.”

Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic abuse and their children. It seeks to end the cycle of domestic abuse through education, empowerment and advocacy while providing a safe haven from abuse.

This is Senator Singleton’s fifth “Serve with Singleton” event since he became a State Senator in January 2018. Previous efforts included: renovation of the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, a clean-up day at Jacob’s Chapel Ministry Center, painting two Community Options homes and a clean-up day at Strawbridge Lake.
