Senator Adler ‘Counts Down To Clean Air’

With Only 2 Days remaining, New Jersey Restaurants Showcase Its Final Preparation

CHERRY HILL – Senator John H. Adler will promote the start of the indoor smoking- ban by announcing the “Countdown to Clean Air” at Ponzio’s Restaurant on Thursday, April 13.

The indoor smoking ban starts on Saturday, April 15th, and will prohibit smoking inside any public building. Chris Fifis, one of the owners of the family run restaurant, will be on hand to discuss the importance of having healthy employees and how the ban will affect business. Wait staff and late morning regulars will also be on hand to talk about how the indoor smoking ban with affect them. Jennifer Sullivan from the American Cancer Society and representatives from the American Heart Association will also be in attendance.

“Smoking, whether first or second hand, is the number one cause of lung cancer, and each year thousands of New Jersey residents are diagnosed with this life threatening disease,” said Senator Adler, D- Cherry Hill. “It’s critical that we no longer allow smokers to risk the lives of our non-smoking citizens and our children. I am proud to say that we’ll soon be able to breathe easier while dining out, and employees will be able to come to work without compromising their health.”

From New York

Take the New Jersey Turnpike South. Follow the New Jersey Turnpike till exit 4 (RT-73 Philadelphia/ Camden). Keep Right on the fork in the ramp. Merge onto RT-73 N. Take the 295 South ramp. Merge onto 295 South. Take the 34B exit (RT-70 West Cherry Hill/Camden). Merge onto NJ-70 West towards Camden/Philadelphia. Take off-ramp (on your right) to Kings Highway South. Cross over Route 70 and at first traffic light make a right turn. At next traffic light make another right turn. Road ends at the foot of Ponzio’s parking lot..

From Atlantic City

Follow the Atlantic City Expressway West (Toll). Take the 1B exit (295 North) towards Trenton. Merge onto 295 North. Take the 34B (RT-70 West) exit towards Cherry Hill/Camden. Merge onto NJ-70 West towards Camden/Philadelphia. Take off-ramp (on your right) to Kings Highway South. Cross over Route 70 and at first traffic light make a right turn. At next traffic light make another right turn. Road ends at the foot of Ponzio’s parking lot.
