Senate President Steve Sweeney joined Senator Bob Smith to tour multiple community centers in Piscataway and discussed the impact the upcoming projects will have on the region. Lastly, a bill sponsored by Senators Bob Smith and Linda Greenstein prohibiting provision or sale of single-use plastic carryout bags, single-use paper carryout bags, and polystyrene foam food service products passed the Senate this week.
