On Tuesday, Senate President Steve Sweeney along with a small bi-partisan team of Senators Paul Sarlo, M. Teresa Ruiz, Steve Oroho, Declan O’Scanlon and Troy Singleton, offered Governor Murphy’s Economic Commission strategic steps to guide the reopening of New Jersey’s economy. The Senate Education Recovery Task Force, led by Senate Education Committee Chair M. Teresa Ruiz, held their first meeting to begin addressing the challenges facing students, teachers, parents and administrators amid the COVID-19 public health crisis.
