Senate President Steve Sweeney spoke at the Garden State Initiative 2nd Annual Economic Policy Forum. Continuing the Budget process, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee heard testimony from New Jersey’s Higher Educational Services, Department of Transportation, New Jersey Transit and Motor Vehicle Commission to discuss funding for the upcoming year. Lastly two bills were signed into law this week that provide more compassion and humane treatment towards pets in the state.
