Senate President Steve Sweeney spoke at the Coalition for a DSP Living Wage Rally held outside of the Statehouse Annex on Monday. Legislators and advocates celebrated the historic signing of Senator Joe Vitale and Senator Nicholas Scutari’s legislation expanding the statute of limitations for certain civil action in cases of sexual abuse. After nine Town Halls, Senator Sweeney has introduced the first pieces of legislation inspired by the Path to Progress recommendations and the thousands of conversations he had across the state.
