Senate President Steve Sweeney and Senators Nellie Pou and Steve Oroho introduced bipartisan legislation this week to implement a New Jersey Job-Sharing Furlough Program that capitalizes on key provisions of the federal CARES Act. Senator Nellie Pou’s bill on the Financial Security for Consumers Act passed the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. Lastly, we are flattening the curve – so much so that we are beginning to consider how to reopen New Jersey’s economy.
