Senator Paul Sarlo responded to Governor Phil Murphy’s budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2021. Legislation sponsored by Senators Troy Singleton and Loretta Weinberg, which would authorize the Department of Environmental Protection to designate an area within a municipality as a “burdened community,” cleared the Senate Environment and Energy Committee this week. Lastly, Senate President Steve Sweeney attended the South Jersey Kids Count Forum where he learned about the latest data released by Advocates for Children of New Jersey and how New Jersey can ensure a complete count in the 2020 Census.
